Why do this?
LeaveThesePeopleAlone.org

My name is Gus and I’m a baker. These days it’s impossible to turn on the TV without being accosted by a celebrity news program. Now, we all know that celebrity news is usually a euphemism for the harassment of celebrities for no reason. There are several shameful offenders, and one show stands out from the rest, producing a filthy new variety of brain-numbing non-news manure second to none (and I know they’re very proud of that). I am referring, of course, to TMZ. So, two friends and I came up with an idea, a vision if you will, for taking action against this problem: LeaveThesePeopleAlone.org.
It would be impossible to do battle with the large forces supporting these programs and their camera-wielding underlings. But what I can do, what I will do, is focus all my energy to relentlessly document and report on the day-to-day life of one representative of my most despised program: TMZ’s Max Hodges. I will photograph, videotape, interview, document, and report on Max Hodges day and night, winter, spring, summer, fall, and February 29th whenever it comes around. If one day Max Hodges doesn’t want to be filmed or photographed, I will be there to capture every moment of his discomfort on film while asking silly questions. If Max Hodges is purchasing pants, I will be there watching him purchase pants: HodgesReport.com
And so we’ve been laying the groundwork for what will soon become bigger than me, you, or even Max Hodges’ ego. Why do this, you ask? To paraphrase Burke, all that is necessary for Max Hodges and TMZ to triumph is for good men to do nothing. My team and I are good men, and we must do something. I know we aren’t the only people who see these non-news non-stories and think LEAVE THESE PEOPLE ALONE.
